There are so many things I could say. The grammatical errors abounded. It seemed, at times, two different people were writing. One was okay, and one just didn't cut it. For example in the book where the angels were liberated, the male angel who was spokesman was named Gabriel. A lot lame, but OK. In the following books SUDDENLY Gabriel become the feminine French name Gabrielle. A woman's name for a male angel formerly known as (no, not Prince) Gabriel, a masculine name. And the sheer inanity continued. Where previously the hero was sharp, able to understand easily and quickly, in the later books she was a moronic teenager full of angst. There was so many illogical choices & actions, it defied reason. A lot of sentences made NO sense whatsoever. And at the end of four books Nora suddenly becomes Laura. The explanations given were so awful and completely disregarded what was previously mentioned, with such flawed reasoning that I cannot even express it. English simply cannot be this woman's first language because of many reasons to include all kinds of writing structure. And the ending conveniently ignored statements presented in the PREVIOUS paragraph. There's so much more, but she turned the teenager into a creepy, weird thing. I don't do spoilers, but since there was NOTHING like this, this demon, anywhere else in any of the books, I can only presume the author had no idea what the meaning of what she turned her hero into. An evil creature.I don't recommend this book to anyone.
This is a story about vampires that aren't really quite vampires. If that sounds familiar, it should. But instead of being a big family drama like "Twilight," "Forsaken" is more of a road adventure where our heroes stumble into dark secrets and evil villains.Near the end of the second book, I was enjoying myself ... but then something happened. It turned out the leading man deceived the leading lady for some crazy reason instead of simply trusting her to do the right thing. Just when the story was getting pretty suspenseful, the author had to make her characters act like idiots. I have a feeling this is a typical plot element in YA books of this type, and I really don't care for it. Three stars, because I'm feeling generous.
The story was okay. Started skimming alot once I got to the second book. Some parts pulled directly from the Twilight saga but the author took some interesting turns with it. I can ignore all the spelling and grammatical errors but so much of it was just rushed through without proper explanation or wrap up. Gave it 3 stars because it is so damn cheap and for that price it was at least interesting enough that I got my much loved enjoyment of reading into the day.
Entertaining and fun to read. A fast moving story that make it hard to put down. It wrap you up to an adventure and romance and give you glimpses of how sacrifices are made for the sake of people we care and how destiny bring life together people who needed each other. The twist and turns of the stories highlights the drama of life. It is true that sometimes expectations make us lost tract the ability of what we are offered that is why most of us are not satisfied of our choices.
I found the Forsaken Saga to be a really annoying read, the main character had no real substance to her and there was not enough background information to really build a good foundation for the ending. The plot line didn't make much sense at all and the frustration I felt with the main character meant I was constantly looking forward to the end to get it over and done with. The second series within the box set was much better and a lot more interesting. The story unfolded much more fluidly and the characters were much more developed. The story was interesting and original, a prelude centering on the village and developing that story line would be interesting. A much more impressive story. Would have liked to have read this first. The third series written by a different author was good to and I would definitely read more of her stuff.
I really wanted to like it but there just wasn’t enough character development for my taste. I gave up halfway through the second book, which is something I have rarely ever done. I lost patience with Nora for blindly following a boy she barely knew and getting jealous every time he mentions other girls, despite the fact that he never made any romantic overtures toward her. I was also disgusted with Hunter. If he cared about her at all why did he purposely put her in such a dangerous situation? These books are trying way too hard to imitate Twilight without all the great character development that makes the Twilight series so compelling. Don’t waste you money or your time.
Sophia did an amazing job telling Norah and Hunter's story. I did not see that ending coming at all!!!! Could use a good editor due to some spelling and grammatical errors but they are pretty easy to get past. I didn't read the bonus books that came in the boxes set but the series itself is definitely worth the time and money you invest into it.
Well there were some great background ideas for this story, it wasn't fleshed out very well. The writer seems inexperienced, and didn't have a very good editor . A lot of the details seem to be ripped off from Stephanie Myers Twilight series, and this author just went a little different direction with it. She could've done so much more with the storyline than she actually did .
