5 deeply sexy stars!!! What a great debut book by Dani Rene'....I'm hooked!

Talk about love triangle!! I've read quite a few love triangle books, but I'll say this one has to be one of my top 5 favorites!! Emily has had a rough past and leaves her life behind to start a new one in New York. While there she lands her dream job, where she can showcase her talents. Her boss Tristan is dark and brooding and swears he's never loved anyone and he has no intentions of ever loving anyone. But that's all thrown out the window the minute Emily walks into his office. And well, she can't deny the attraction for Tristan either, well until a handsome stranger swoops in......

What a freaking fantastic book!!! And like Emily I'm torn between Bash and Tristan and I refuse to choose......a girl can have both right?? Great debut novel and I can't wait to read more!! - Melissa from Alpha Book Club ---------------------------------------I have to admit I started Ace of Hearts with fairly low expectations with this being the debut novel by Dani Rene. I can promise you I will not make that mistake twice, this book contained all the polish of a seasoned professional. It hit on all cylinders, the story was thought out, the characters were well developed and the sexual chemistry will have you grabbing either your partner or a cold shower.

I normally do not get too enthused over love triangle stories but the slick way this one developed along with the competition between the two male suitors had me hooked instantly. Triston and Bash are a great dilemma, they are both very similar yet also extremely different. This happens often with brothers, had I forgotten to mention that tidbit, and there is no rivalry like a family one. Poor young, beautiful Emily has her head spinning and her lady parts throbbing, lucky for her she wins regardless of her choice in my opinion.

When she lands it, little does she know the amount of trouble she is causing herself. Her boss, Triston Hart, is your typical CEO - tall, dark handsome (tattooed) and not into love. He doesn't do it after his own heartache, but when Emily walks into his office he is drawn to her in a way he can't describe. 

While dealing with an event for work, Emily comes across Sebastian aka Bash. Sexy, funny and seriously good looking she is swept off her feet by him and his laid back attitude. Cue the love triangle and all sorts of issues that come with it.
 
The question is who will she choose, especially once her past rears its ugly head and threatens to ruin the new life she has built for herself? 

I must be honest and say I struggled reading this book. I am not a fan of love triangles due to my own "old fashioned" ways I guess but seen as I've never read one before, I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and give it a try. Good lord how I wanted to punch Emily and her indecisions. I did not agree with some of her views and I found her scenes with Bash hard to take as I fell completely for Triston and he is the one I would choose. And her sex scenes with Triston - OMG what that guy can do! My old fashioned values kicked in with Bash and I didn't like Emily with him although he clearly appealed to her more care free and adventurous side. 

I have given this book 4 stars because the writing is fantastic and the characters are very well developed. The book is paced perfectly and does keep you guessing and if you are a fan of love triangles then I urge you to read this as you will love it. Dani René is a freelance graphic designer and newly published author. She started writing in January 2015 and after a few fan fiction stories decided that her first novel Ace of Harts needed to be published. I am so happy I found this book, I only wish I had purchased it as soon as I found out about my husband's adultery. I bought it for my husband to read (I read it first). While I have not decided if it is the best thing for us to stay married after his betrayal, this book definitely made things a little easier.There are some things I didn't agree with, I prefer full disclosure and this book has some suggestions about keeping certain things from the wife. I just feel the weakness and dishonesty of the cheater was part of the problem, so don't keep doing it. However, some things are said that mirrored how I was feeling and that really helped me to feel normal and it helped my husband understand part of what I was going through.I really saw a change in the way he approached my outbursts and constant tears and it has really helped to see him make an effort. He was thankful for the book and it felt it was a helpful guide.

This book has some very good advice. Unfortunately, that good advice is surrounded by absolutely horrible advice and will lead to divorce, the one thing she is saying she is trying to help you avoid.The first area is mentioned a couple of times in other reviews - she suggest deleting all 'evidence' of the affair so that the wife can't find it. However, she goes on to admit several pages later that the wife has probably seen a lot of the evidence and that betrayed women are excellent at finding information. Why set the man up for failure in that way? By telling him to delete the evidence and try to deceive his wife, she is having the man go into the situation lying. How can you encourage the man to be "transparent" and to be "honest", but also try to purge any evidence of the affair? That makes no sense.The other thing she encourages is to not admit to the affair if you don't think your wife knows. What? She literally tells the man if he doesn't believe the wife knows about the affair, mention that he wants to go to marriage counseling, but don't tell the wife you had an affair and keep it a secret - even in counseling. What? Again, you are encouraging this "good man" to keep a serious secret.She also does not insist the man keeping this secret from his spouse be tested for STDs. Really? Not only are you having him keep a secret, you are allowing him to potentially infect his wife and risk her own health because she doesn't know that she should get tested. The author admits most affairs happen at work or are with friends or family of the wife - you really think it is okay to keep that a secret from the wife? The wife has no right to know her "best girlfriend" has been sleeping with her husband? She doesn't have a right to know her husband has been sleeping with his co-worker and they are still going to be working together?Like I said, she has some great advice - especially when it comes to meeting the needs of the wife who knows about the affair. However, her surrounding advice is so troubling and so disrespectful to the faithful spouse that I cannot recommend this book. Her advice completely contradicts itself throughout the book. For instance, on the one hand she admits that many women who find out their husband had an affair at least feel relief that they aren't 'crazy' since they felt something was going on, but then she tells men NOT to tell their wife unless they are caught/confronted. What? You admit that most women feel something is going on and even think they are crazy for suspecting their 'good man' is cheating, but you want to allow the man to continue to gaslight his wife by pretending he didn't cheat when he did? How is that not cruel to the faithful spouse?Her bad advice easily takes a 'good man' and makes him an even bigger liar and deceiver. How devastating will it be to that spouse when they find out they went through marriage counseling, gave it their all, only to find out their husband lied the entire time and kept an affair a secret. That ISN'T a good man, that is a man that is being cruel to his spouse.So, I would only recommend this book for "good men" that are honest with their spouse and can ignore that bad advice included.

First of all, I love that this book is written by a woman. Many books on restoring a marriage after infidelity or sexual sin are written by men, teaching men how to essentially trick their wives into forgiving them, or at the least not divorcing them. They tend towards "you screwed up, be on your best behavior for a while and she will get off your back eventually".Madden doesn't take that approach at all.Instead, Madden talks men through the realities of the devastation that they have poured onto their wives. I need to be clear, this book is written for men that have had actual affairs (emotional or physical). This isn't a book for wives, but for husbands to better understand what they have done and how it has impacted their wives. She addresses real life conversations that need to be had, questions you should ask, as well as tangible real life steps to help your wife feel more secure in your marriage. She also gives clear and calming phrases to use to help lead the conversations in a positive manner.

Some Key Elements Were Overlooked, But Overall a Good Foundation: I think the book should have included dynamics like alcohol or substance dependence as a factor, given that they reduce a person's inhibitions and judgement. I also think that the presence of any mental health disorder can play a role in the cheating behaviors. When "Thinking Errors" are present, the cheater needs to see that list outlined in the book, and identify, "Oh, that's what I'm doing. That's how I'm justifying my affair". I also think you give a mixed message of be transparent and completely open, keeping no secrets, but oh, delete all your text messages, emails, Facebook messages, etc. That promotes secrecy, which is a core element of adultery.

We purchased this book for our niece. We did note that some of the subject matter might be questioned for certain ages (e.g. orgasms, dancing getting you laid, and morning wood). I found no recommended age information, nor was I aware of this subject matter when I preordered (it's very likely I didn't research thoroughly, as I am a fan).I will note that these are all natural aspects of life, and nothing objectively negative for a younger child to be exposed to. The terminology used in that presentation might be questioned (some may prefer formal terminology over informal), and the potential social ramifications of having a child educated in such matters could, sadly, be an issue, however. My wife and I are fine with it, but our niece's parents and grandparents have different opinions than we do on some things. Just something to think about.

This book explores the type of questions that usually only a kid would ask, and digs deep into giving an in depth answer that that same kid would understand. It's good for the curious, regardless of whether they are science illiterate or hold one or many PhD's in STEM fields. Granted, many things are oversimplified, but given the circumstances and the general atmosphere in which this book is meant to be read, I believe the guys at Asap Science made a great product here.Unrelated to the book itself: I got myself the Kindle version and yet it wasn't compatible with my eReader device (Kindle Paperwhite), so beware if you are getting the soft copy.

I did a search for books for 8-13 year olds and this book popped up. My grandson loves science and always has questions about the unusual. I bought the book as a birthday gift for him. The book description talks about science and says it is a fun read. Thank goodness I leafed through it before giving it to him. This is an adult book and definitely not appropriate for anyone under the age of 21! The book description is not accurate and did not say anything about the adult content in this book. I'm sending it back.

LOVE THIS BOOK, it is essentially the AsapSCIENCE Youtube videos in book form. It's a fun, clever and easy to read to pick up and browse through and also to sit and read to feed your brain. I leave it on my coffee table and guests have fun looking through it. If you're a fan of the YouTube videos, this is definitely a must buy, and if you're a fan of knowledge, this is also a must buy. I do caution sharing it with children though as some are definitely fun for kids, there are some more adult topics you might want to clear with their parents first.

The book itself is super cute. I'm sure my little girl will love it. The condition however is horrible, how am I supposed to give this as a gift? It is supposed to be a brand new book, yet the cover is all screwed up as you can see in the pictures. I also feel really ripped off since I paid $8 for the book and the seller left the $5.99 Barnes and Noble Bargin Price on the front. I will NEVER buy from this seller again. Ridiculous.

MIddle school grandson loves books and is an information magnet. He loves this and walks around quoting the facts he learns until people freak out. It's so funny and I adore giving him good info to expand his thinking. Nice book. Nice printing and paper. There are serious facts and things that make him laugh out loud. Glad I found this book.

I bought the book for my 12 years old son. He loves to watch asapscience videos. Thought he will enjoy the book too. Nevertheless, the content of the book is good he has not been as interested to read it than to watch ithe videos. He has read a few themes of the book but continuos to prefer the videos. I bought it too because is a way to support the asapscience project. The more funds the get the more videos that they will have available. Love their work, think is a wonderful, educational way for kids to watch interesting and some what complex informations in a fun, friedly format.

My grandkids love this book. They also like reading it out loud be aus3 of the way is written. Grandparents: read through the table of contents to make sure you’re ok with all of the topics.
