This book gets into childhood head injuries and how they can effect a child. As usual, I was thrilled with the storyline. Danielle Steel always does a great job with her stories. Once I started reading it I did not want to put it down.

I loved the whole book. Easy read but flew by too fast! Highly recommend!! Hope you enjoy as much as i did. Best Danielle Steele I've read in a while. Always love her work even though it's often a little repetitive.

Some have been amazing and have stayed with me for years. Others, I get frustrated because it feels as though the originality is gone. This one is somewhere in the middle.I liked the premise. Whitney's life is turned upside down when her sister and niece are in a deadly car crash. Whitney is left to raise Emma, and deal with the life altering changes due to the accident. I felt the characters were good, and stood up on their own. There was more depth than the last few DS novels I've read (looking at you, Fairytale!) but the novel was still plagued by some of the same problems--repetition, whole sections of story that weren't needed, and tired descriptions of characters that seem to be in every DS novel.Still, this was a very quick read. i was able to sink in the story. It's a page turner. All in all, not bad.

Emma Watts, age 9, has been a cast member of the hit series, The Clan, for years. Her mother, Paige Watts, is so proud of her. When not acting, Emma is busy with her tutor, Belinda; learning her lines; and taking dance and singing lessons. Now, Emma has been offered a part in a Broadway musical. It makes us ever more aware that we need to fasten our seat belts and never text while driving.Danielle Steel has once again written a fabulous book. Her characters are always strong even when sorely tested. I can’t help but their that she, herself, is a strong person who has endured many tests in her own life. Well done! Silent Night is a poignant story. We get to see tragic events unfold when a person is careless with their own and a loved one’s safety while operating a car. I thought Silent Night was well-written and engaging. I sat down and read this story straight through (I wen to bed late even for me). The book had steady pacing with smooth transitions between sections. There are good, relatable characters in the story. We see how life can change in a moment and families are messy. I found Silent Night to be an emotional and heartbreaking story. We get to experience the grief Whitney and Emma go through along with handling Emma’s injury. There is good information on traumatic brain injuries in the book. Danielle Steel related the details in an easy to understand way which I appreciated. Emma’s journey is difficult as she tries to relearn all that she has lost. It is nice to see the characters grow as individuals and see this one event change the course of their lives. I like that the author provided an epilogue that nicely wrapped up the book. Silent Night is a story that will touch your heart.*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. I have enjoyed Michaela's practices and work for a few years now. I was intially attracted to her as the only student of D. Deida. Gradually, as I learned that she has been a Tantra practitioner with her own lineage of women, I was even more interested in her work. I found both her podcasts and the book very down to earth, no-nonsense and easy to relate to. The book is well written. The style is modern and easy to follow, it is well organized and it translates in a simple language practices of trauma release and embodiment, which are crucial in order to live an orgasmic and wild life as a woman.I will not necessarily say that I have found many new for me practices, but I have also practiced Daoist tantra and regular tantra, where sensitization of the body, releasing stuck emotions and even cathartic practices are the foundation to free up the energy. Still, I feel that the way Michaela presents the same practices is very useful for any beginner on the Tantric path... In fact, Michaela proves it to me that Tantra does not have to be complex and esoteric. It can actually be very easily part of our daily life. Moreover, in a very fluid and relaxed way it can help us step out of the mental matrix of problems, pain and contractions into sensiality, aliveness, relaxation and joy.I also loved getting deeper into Michaela's aproach of polarity in relationship. She poses some good reminders about not only how to enter a relationship, as well as what the barriers might be typically for a woman, such as dreamig a potential for her man and losing herself in expectations that her partner might become ''his best self'', when he might not really intend it, as well as waiting for a white night and a savior.
